So I was scanning news (if it can loosely be called that) this morning, and I stumbled onto this gem. Starbucks got stomped in a taste test. By a much cheaper brand, and Consumer Reports apparently found it to be quite the crowd pleaser. And it beat out a bunch of other normally top-ranked regulars.
I'm kind of amused, and will have to go in search of this mysterious Eight o'clock coffee.

Eight O clock coffee is cheaper than Starbucks, obviously, but i'm not so sure they can beat the Bux in taste
Now the question here is "Do you drink regular brewed coffee, or do you drink the souped up flavored bs fluffy stuff that 'the Bux' sells?" Because honestly? While Starbucks has some redeeming qualities for the froufy drinks, their actual brewed plain coffee? Sucks.
Which would probably be why Eight o'clock coffee is winning in those taste-tests.
Better hope my hubby doesn't read this. And he drinks the straight drip stuff. =)
I know someone who until recently worked at Starbucks. When they wanted a cup of regular coffee, they went to McDonalds. Swore by the stuff.
